After breakfast, embark on a half-day sightseeing tour covering the architectural marvels of the Lotus Temple (closed Mondays) and the historic Qutub Minar. Post sightseeing, depart for Jaipur, the majestic capital of Rajasthan. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.

Journey 11 km to Amber Fort, the former capital of the Rajput rulers, perched on a hilltop. Experience a memorable elephant ride up to the fort and explore its stunning palace complex. Later, visit the City Palace, a beautiful fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture, Birla Temple, the astronomical wonders at Jantar Mantar, and the iconic pink sandstone Hawa Mahal.

After breakfast, drive towards Agra with an enriching stop at Fatehpur Sikri. This UNESCO World Heritage site, once Akbar’s capital, impresses with its sandstone palaces and grand courtyards. Continue to Agra, check into your hotel, and unwind.

Visit the breathtaking Taj Mahal early in the morning (closed Fridays), an eternal symbol of love built by Emperor Shah Jahan. Later, explore the formidable Agra Fort, originally a military fortress and later transformed into a splendid palace. In the afternoon, visit the delicate marble mausoleum of Itmad-ud-Daulah, often called the “Baby Taj,” followed by a visit to Sikandra, the tomb of Emperor Akbar.

Depart early for Delhi, stopping en route to visit Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, and Vrindavan, famed for its temples including the Bankey Bihari and ISKCON temples (note temple closure from 12 pm to 4 pm). Upon arrival in Delhi, visit Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, followed by a drive past the Akshardham Temple, India Gate, and the President’s House.

Fly to Bagdogara and transfer to Darjeeling through picturesque tea gardens and winding mountain roads. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax amidst the cool mountain air.

Start early with a drive to Tiger Hill for a spectacular sunrise over the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, including Mt. Kanchenjunga. Visit the historic Ghoom Monastery and enjoy a scenic Toy Train ride (subject to operation). Explore the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Camp, Darjeeling Museum, Botanical Gardens, and the famous tea plantations.

After breakfast, drive to Pemayangtse nestled on a ridge overlooking the Teesta River valley. Visit the ancient Pemayangtse Monastery, the second largest in Sikkim, belonging to the Nyingma sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings and spend the evening at leisure.

Travel to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, known for its breathtaking Himalayan views, vibrant flora, and rich culture. Upon arrival, visit the serene Enchey Monastery, home to around 100 monks.

Visit Rumtek Monastery, the seat of the Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Kagyu sect. In the afternoon, explore the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, an esteemed research center housing rare manuscripts and artifacts on Tibetan Buddhism.

Drive to Kalimpong, a charming hill town dotted with monasteries. Visit Thongsa Monastery (a Bhutanese-style monastery), Tibetan Monastery, Tharpa Choling, and the Chorten dedicated to Lady Helena Roerich. Explore Pine View Cactus Nursery and “Crookety House,” associated with Lady Roerich (open Wednesdays & Saturdays).
Overnight in Kalimpong.
After breakfast, transfer to Bagdogara airport to board your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, assistance will be provided for your onward international departure.
