Day 1Arrival in Shillong | Welcome Ceremony

Arrive at Guwahati Airport where our representative greets you with a traditional ‘Swagat’. Proceed by road to Shillong (approx. 100 km / 3 hrs). En route, enjoy a scenic lunch by the serene Umiam Lake, surrounded by pine-clad hills. Upon arrival in Shillong, check-in at your hotel.

Day 2Cherrapunjee – Caves & Waterfalls

After an early breakfast, head to Cherrapunjee to explore the Krem Mawmluh Cave—renowned for its underground rivers and passageways. Discover the mesmerizing waterfalls, including the fourth-highest in the world—Nohkalikai Falls. Visit the famous living root bridges that exemplify tribal ingenuity.

Day 3Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek

Trek to the legendary Double Decker Living Root Bridge, an awe-inspiring feat of natural architecture by the Khasi tribes. Enjoy a packed lunch amidst the forest. Return to Cherra Resort and enjoy a relaxing evening with panoramic views of the Khasi Hills and the plains of Bangladesh.

Day 4Cherrapunjee to Shillong

Post breakfast, drive back to Shillong, stopping by the picturesque Elephant Falls and panoramic Shillong Peak.

Day 5Explore Shillong

Spend the day exploring Shillong, fondly referred to as the ‘Scotland of the East’. Discover colonial charm, vibrant local markets, and the rich heritage of the Khasi people.

Day 6Shillong to Kaziranga National Park

After a leisurely breakfast, travel to the UNESCO-listed Kaziranga National Park (approx. 280 km / 5 hrs). Home of the majestic one-horned rhinoceros and a treasure trove of biodiversity.

Day 7Wildlife Safari in Kaziranga

Enjoy an early morning elephant safari through the tall grasses and misty forests—perfect for spotting rhinos, wild buffaloes, and deer. Post-lunch, experience a thrilling jeep safari in the central range.

Day 8Kaziranga to Kohima – Into Naga Heartland

Drive to Kohima (approx. 225 km / 4 hrs). Enjoy lunch in town and then proceed to Touphema Tourist Village, a community-run eco-village that offers a glimpse into traditional Angami Naga life.

Day 9Hornbill Festival Experience

Attend the vibrant Hornbill Festival in Kohima (held Dec 1–5), a grand celebration of Naga culture featuring traditional dances, folk songs, ethnic cuisine, handicrafts, fashion shows, and more. Later, visit the poignant World War II Cemetery and the State Museum to delve into Naga heritage. Proceed to Kipfiizha (Kigwema village) and check into Dimori Cove.

Day 10Trek to Dzukou Valley

Begin a scenic drive to Jakhama village, the starting point for your trek to the mystical Dzukou Valley (approx. 4 hrs trek). Nestled at 2,438 m, the valley is a paradise of dwarf bamboo, wildflowers, and winding rivulets.

Overnight: Rest House / Caves / Tent in Dzukou Valley

Day 11Explore Dzukou Valley & Return

Spend the morning soaking in the untouched beauty of Dzukou. Return to Dimori Cove post-lunch and revisit the ongoing Hornbill Festival if desired.

Day 12Kohima – Visit Khonoma Village

Drive to Khonoma, India’s first green village and the stronghold of Naga resistance during the colonial period. Explore the eco-friendly practices and learn about legendary Naga leader Angami Phizo.

Day 13Kohima to Jorhat – The Tea Trail Begins

Set off early for Jorhat (approx. 200 km / 4 hrs), the tea capital of Assam. Check into the heritage Thengal Mansion, a planter’s bungalow surrounded by Assamese countryside. Stroll through a nearby village to immerse in rural Assamese life.

Day 14Day Excursion to Sivasagar

Visit the ancient capital of the Ahom Dynasty, Sivasagar. Marvel at historic monuments like Rang Ghar, the Tolatol Ghar, and the towering Shiva Dol. Learn about Assam’s glorious royal past.

Day 15Jorhat to Majuli – World's Largest River Island

Journey to Majuli Island, crossing the mighty Brahmaputra via ferry. Known for its scenic beauty and unique Vaishnavite monasteries, Majuli is a cultural and spiritual sanctuary.

Overnight: Circuit House, Majuli

Day 16Monastic Traditions of Majuli

Visit the Kamalabari and Auniati Satras, where monks preserve classical dance, music, and art traditions. Enjoy an evening of cultural performances showcasing Majuli’s vibrant heritage.

Day 17Majuli to Guwahati – Brahmaputra Sunset Cruise

Drive back to Guwahati (approx. 340 km / 6 hrs). In the evening, unwind with a tranquil sunset river cruise on the Brahmaputra—locally revered as the ‘Luit’ or the ‘River of Blood’.

Day 18Assam Silk & Pilgrimage in Hajo

Visit Sualkuchi, renowned for its exquisite Muga and Eri silk weaving traditions. Proceed to Hajo, a unique town where Hindus, Muslims, and Buddhists worship side-by-side. Return to Guwahati for leisure.

Day 19Departure from Guwahati
