Ramkrishna Forgings Limited (Company) was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 on 12th November, 1981. The company is having its registered office at 23, Circus Avenue. Kolkata – 700017, West Bengal and is listed in the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange.
The Company is led by Mr. Mahabir Prasad Jalan, a Technocrat from BITS Pilani, along with Mr. Naresh Jalan having considerable experience in the forgings industry. Ramkrishna Forgings Limited is one of the leading companies for manufacturing forging products in India and has a manufacturing capacity of 150,000MT annually which includes the state of the art 12500 ton fully automated press line imported from SMS Gmbh and Press lines of various capacities. It also has a state of art machining, die making, heat treatment facilities and fully automated paint booth.
The Company has made timely investments in capacity augmentation and technology upgradation. These capabilities have earned the Company a preferred supplier status with leading globally Tier-1, and respected OEMs customers operating in India and globally and find application across markets in both the automotive and non-automotive sectors.
The Company’s business operations are aligned to stringent global benchmarks (ISO 9001:2008, TS-16949:2009, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO14001:2004 certified). The Company has strong in-house engineering capabilities for tooling & forgings design utilising processes including 2D drawing and 3D modelling, reverse engineering In addition, the Company’s world-class quality assurance laboratory with best in class equipment which ensure that its product consistently match customer specifications. This has cemented greater trust between the Company and its clients.
The Company is in the approved panel of R.D.S.O. (Railway Design and Safety Organisation) .It is also approved in the core Defence Sector Industrial Organisation like DGQA (Vehicles), DGQA (Armaments) and DGQA (Engineering equipment).
The Company had clocked an annual turnover of Rs. 1,806 Cr as on 31st March, 2019 and has an employee base of more than 1700 permanent employees.
