In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful Shikara ride on the iconic Dal Lake, gliding past floating vegetable gardens and vibrant houseboats. Keep your eyes open for an array of birdlife like Kingfishers, Bitterns, Kites, and Grebes.

In the evening, stroll through quaint Ladakhi villages or opt for a visit to a local home for an authentic cultural experience.

Begin the day with a bactrian (double-humped) camel ride on the high-altitude sand dunes between Hunder and Diskit — a surreal experience set against the stark backdrop of snow-covered peaks and desert terrain.
Explore Diskit Monastery, over 500 years old and majestically perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the valley.

Check in to your lakeside camp and soak in the surreal beauty of one of Asia’s highest saltwater lakes.

Enjoy a peaceful morning by the lake, capturing its changing shades under the rising sun. After breakfast, drive back to Leh.
On the way, visit Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh, belonging to the Drukpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
