Day 1Arrival in Guwahati

Day 2Kamakhya Temple – Umiam Lake – Cherrapunjee

Visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, a major Shakti Peetha. Later, drive towards Cherrapunjee (170 km), known as the wettest place on Earth. En route, stop at the tranquil Umiam Lake surrounded by forested hills. Overnight in Cherrapunjee.

Day 3Caves & Waterfalls of Cherrapunjee

Explore the fascinating Krem Mawmluh Cave, one of India’s longest. Discover the awe-inspiring Nohkalikai Falls and the living root bridges crafted by the Khasi tribes. Overnight in Cherrapunjee.

Day 4Trek to Double Decker Root Bridge

After breakfast, embark on a scenic trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge—an engineering wonder made from tree roots. Enjoy a picnic lunch and return to Cherrapunjee. Evening at leisure.

 

Day 5Cherrapunjee to Shillong

Drive to Shillong, fondly called the “Scotland of the East.” En route, visit the cascading Elephanta Falls and enjoy panoramic views from Shillong Peak. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 6Explore Shillong

Discover Shillong’s colonial charm and vibrant local life. Visit local landmarks and interact with the indigenous Khasi community. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 7Shillong to Kaziranga

Drive to the world-famous Kaziranga National Park (280 km), home to the one-horned rhinoceros. Enjoy a jeep safari upon arrival. Overnight at a jungle lodge.

Day 8Wildlife Safaris in Kaziranga

Embark on a morning elephant safari for a close-up view of rhinos and other wildlife. Later, enjoy another jeep safari through the park’s central range. Overnight at Kaziranga.

 

Day 9Kaziranga to Kohima – Touphema Village

Drive to Kohima (225 km), then proceed to Touphema, a traditional Angami Naga village. Experience local hospitality and cultural immersion. Overnight in Touphema.

Day 10Hornbill Festival in Kohima

Attend the vibrant Hornbill Festival, a cultural extravaganza of all Naga tribes. Enjoy traditional dances, music, crafts, fashion shows, and local cuisine. Visit the WWII Cemetery and State Museum before proceeding to Dimori Cove in Kipfiizha. Overnight stay.

Day 11Trek to Dzukou Valley

Journey to Dzukou Valley via Jakhama village. A 4-hour trek through pristine landscapes leads you to a natural paradise at 2,438 m. Overnight in caves, tents, or rest houses.

Day 12Dzukou Valley to Kipfiizha

Enjoy morning exploration of this verdant valley blanketed with dwarf bamboo and seasonal blooms. Return to Kipfiizha by afternoon and continue to enjoy the Hornbill Festival. Overnight at Dimori Cove.

Day 13Kohima to Khonoma

Drive to Khonoma, an eco-conscious village rich in history and natural charm. Explore the ancestral home of Angami Phizo, and the site of the final Anglo-Naga War battle. Return to Kohima for the night.

Day 14Kohima to Jorhat

Drive to Jorhat (200 km), Assam’s tea capital. Check-in at Thengal Mansion, a colonial-era estate in a nearby Assamese village. Discover the essence of Assamese culture and enjoy a village walk. Overnight in Jorhat.

Day 15Jorhat to Dirang via Bhalukpung

Journey through scenic tea gardens to Bhalukpung. Enter Arunachal Pradesh and visit the Tipi Orchidarium. Continue to the highland town of Dirang. Overnight in Dirang.

Day 16Explore Dirang & Sela Pass

Visit Dirang’s Buddhist monasteries and tribal villages. Drive through scenic mountain terrain to the lofty Sela Pass (13,703 ft). Overnight camping at Sela.

Day 17Trek to Chabrilla

Begin a 5-hour high-altitude trek to Chabrilla (13,000 ft) with packed lunch. Overnight camping in tents amidst spectacular Himalayan surroundings.

Day 18Trek to Nurarang – Drive to Tawang

Continue trekking to Nurarang and visit the trout farm. Then drive to Tawang, the mystical land of the Monpas. Overnight in Tawang.

Day 19Discover Tawang

Visit Tawang Monastery, Ani Gompa (nunnery), and Urgelling Monastery—the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. In the evening, enjoy traditional Monpa dances and Lama performances. Overnight in Tawang.

Day 20Tawang to Dirang via Jang & Sela

Return journey to Dirang via Jang waterfalls and Sela Top. Capture postcard-worthy moments throughout. Overnight in Dirang.

Day 21Camping in Sangti Valley

Set up camp in the enchanting Sangti Valley, surrounded by forests, rivers, and meadows. Enjoy a night under the stars.

Day 22Birdwatching & Return to Dirang

Visit wintering grounds of the rare Black-Necked Cranes in Sangti Valley. Return to Dirang for refreshments and relaxation. Overnight in Dirang.

Day 23Dirang to Bhalukpung – Nameri National Park

Drive to Bhalukpung and continue to Nameri National Park. Enjoy a river rafting adventure on the Jia Bhoreli. Overnight at Nameri.

Day 24Nameri Safari – Return to Guwahati

Early morning jungle walk on the Tiger Trail. After breakfast, enjoy another rafting session and an elephant safari. Post lunch, return to Guwahati. Overnight stay.

Day 25Explore Guwahati & River Cruise

Tour the vibrant city of Guwahati and enjoy a sunset river cruise on the Brahmaputra, locally known as ‘Luit’. Overnight in Guwahati.
